The competitive nature comes out down the stretch.

Their athleticism is scary. You see kids in the Panhandle who are 6-2, 6-3 ... but these kids are 6-7, 6-8. I just hope we can score enough against them to find a way to pull it out.

Their five starters averaged about 70 points a game. We averaged around 50, so we didn't want to get in a running game with them.

I told (my players), if we could keep (score) in the 50s, we'd win.

This is huge for us. We came over (to Jacksonville) where people don't see us, don't know us, and we had a couple kids with the flu bug, but we still found a way to win.

We didn't handle that pressure, and our lack of execution on offense led to easy baskets for them on the other end. We didn't adjust to their adjustment.

We knew (the Cougars) were deeper than us. We knew they were more athletic than us. But we had a game plan coming in, and for all but six minutes, we were able to stick to it.

We were just hoping he didn't get 30. Everybody we talked to over here, the feeling was that he was going to his points, but you had to stop everyone else.

With all that returning experience, I like our chances. Adam and Tolbert will be four-year starters.

We've talked from the very first day of practice that we had big goals, big dreams, and they've kept hearing it from me. Now there's only two teams left (in Class 4A), and we're one of those two. So we feel very fortunate.
